11 - Future

Going to  sujeto + verbo 'to be' going to + verbo + resto de frase.

Se utiliza para hablar de planes de futuro, futuro inmediato, algo que está apunto de ocurrir.



They're going to dance in a party.
They aren´t going to dance in a party.
Are they going to dance in a party?







Will  sujeto + will verbo + resto de frase

Se utiliza para hacer predicciones de futuro, es decir, para hablar de un futuro no planificado o incierto.




Ben has a shower at 8:10 / Ben had a shower at 8:10
- Ben will have a shower at 8:10

The boy doesn´t catch the ball / The boy didn´t catch the ball.
- The boy won´t catch the ball.



Does James open the windows on Mondays? / Did James open the windows Yesterday?
- Will James open the windows next day?




(Future) Present Continuous

Se utiliza para hablar de cosas que están planeadas en un futuro próximo.


NOTA: Recuerda que si el sentido es de presente suele ir acompañado de expresiones como 'ahora' o 'en este momento'. Sin embargo, si hablamos con sentido de futuro irá acompañado con expresiones como 'this afternoon', 'next week', etc. Nunca puede faltar una expresión de tiempo, puesto que es la única forma de distinguirlo del Presente Continuo.


I'm playing tennis this afternoon.
He isn't playing tennis this afternoon.
Are they playing tennis this afternoon?







 FUTURO CONTINUO  "WILL BEING VERB"

Se utiliza para hablar de cosas que están planeadas pero no al 100%


We will be landing in a few moments. (Aterrizaremos en unos momentos)
How long will you be staying(¿Cuánto tiempo te quedarás?)


Sentences:

She will meet a lot of people.
I´m going home at 3:00h.
We will win this match!
This guy will be sleeping when you find him.
 I will be waiting for you.
















Ben stars his paper round at 6:40 / Ben started his paper round at 6:40
- Ben will star his paper round at 6:40

Ben has a shower at 8:10 / Ben had a shower at 8:10
- Ben will have a shower at 8:10

The boy doesn´t catch the ball / The boy didn´t catch the ball.
- The boy won´t catch the ball.

I don´t drink beer / I didn´t drink beer.
- I won´t drink beer.

Does James open the windows on Mondays? / Did James open the windows Yesterday?
- Will James open the windows next day?

Do they visit their grandparents Today? / Did they visit their grandparents two weeks a go?
- Will they visit their grandparents next Monday?
